Update from the fall 2009 maintenace day.

As many of you know, the Dinosaur Playground has been very very well used this last summer by all ages. We have heard rave reviews from kids and adults alike. We are proud of what we achieved and how things all came together. Many thanks to all of you who took part in the building of the playground and we hope that you have all found time to go and see how everything looks and how many smiling, screaming kids are running around our creation. If you missed being a part of build week and would like to still participate in playground, maintenance day volunteering is you next chance.  Come join us for a fun day.
  • While the playground is looking great even under the stress of thousands of little feet and hands over the summer, we need to pay some attention to some areas. Tightening bolts, finishing framing, adding more sand and wood chips, touching up some artwork, staining work needs to done on the tree house and general maintenance is among the things that need to be done.  Also the addition of benches!
  • The day we have set aside for this is Saturday October 3rd. The park will be closed to the public. No kids will be allowed to be in the park for safety reasons. We need bodies for any amount of time you can give from 8:30am till we get it done/dusk. In case of rain date moved to October 10th.
  • Restrictions are in place for who can come and help for our maintenance day for safety reasons, no one under 10 is allowed in during the day, 10-13 year olds may help along side a parent, 14 years and older can work with a group. We do NOT have childcare set up for this maintenance day, as we did for the build.
  • Please pack a lunch/snack and bring plenty of water. Don't forget to wear your closed toed shoes and work gloves and eye protection. If you have a rake, wheelbarrow, shovel or cordless drill please bring them and have them labeled.  Come for an hour, stay for the entire day...whatever you can volunteer is greatly appreciated.

Picket Sales are back! If you wish to order a picket call the dino phone 551-4972 and leave your name and number.  Someone will be in touch with you to take your order.  Pickets will not be up till the fall.
